Verde Science, Inc, a former oil and gas company, now focuses on various businesses in the medical cannabis sector. These include research and development on medical marijuana (MMJ), the provision of aeroponics technologies, and other related services. The company plans to establish itself in the Canadian MMJ market, and to introduce aeroponic-aided cultivation to Southern California.
The THC Pharmaceutical Development Program is Verde Science’s most recent endeavor. This program will develop drug formulations and delivery methods based on medical cannabis. Verde conducts this program in alliance with the Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai and another Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company which is still unnamed. Though its partners are from India, Verde’s intends to conduct clinical trials in Canada, so it is working on obtaining a Canadian R&D license.
Verde Science also offers aeroponics cultivation services to marijuana companies. As its initial project in this regard, Verde provided aeroponics services to Sherman Oaks Holistic Oasis, a Los Angeles County licensed medical cannabis dispensary. Among the services Verde provided in this project are the dispensary design, financing, management, and construction. Sherman Oaks now has more than 1,600 patients.
Verde Science was founded in 2007, operating as Avro Energy, Inc. It developed oil and gas properties and provided oilfield services in the region of Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas (ArkLaTex). Avro Energy then changed its name to Rango Energy, Inc in 2012, and became Verde Science, Inc in 2014.
With a market cap of USD 1.26 M, Verde Science is now traded as VRCI in the OTC markets.
The top executives in Verde Science are President, Chairman, and CFO Harpeet Singh, CEO Kenney Berscht, and VP of Exploration Craig S. Alford. The company’s research and development team is also led by Dr. Ratnesh Jain and Dr. Prajatka Dandekar Jain.
